FMC Hong was established to improve the health status of the population by offering affordable, accessible, and specialized healthcare. As a federal institution under Nigeria’s Federal Ministry of Health, FMC Hong stands as a beacon of excellence in public health and community medical outreach in Northeastern Nigeria.

Established by the Federal Medical Centre, Hong (Establishment) Act, 2022, and officially signed into law by President Muhammadu Buhari on April 9, 2022, FMC Hong is a federal tertiary healthcare institution located in Hong, Adamawa State. The Centre was inaugurated to enhance healthcare delivery in the North-East region of Nigeria and neighboring countries, including parts of Cameroon. DEPARTMENTS

Internal Medicine

Offers diagnosis and treatment for adult diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, infectious diseases, tuberculosis, and cancer. Specialty services include cardiology and neurology clinics.

Surgery

Conducts emergency and elective surgeries across specialties including general surgery, orthopedics, urology, ophthalmology, ENT, and plastic surgery.

Pediatrics

Manages child health from infancy through adolescence. Services include neonatal intensive care, immunizations, and treatment for childhood illnesses.

Obstetrics & Gynecology

Provides reproductive and maternal health care, including antenatal, delivery, family planning, infertility treatment, and gynecological surgeries.

Family Medicine

Radiology
